| Hayley
Barker was born in Oregon. She received her M.A. and M.F.A.
in Intermedia from the University of Iowa in 2001 and her
M.A.T. in Art Education from Lewis & Clark College
in 2006. Her
current
work consists primarily of gouache, watercolor, ink, and pencil
drawings & paintings, and video installations. Since moving
to Portland, her work has been included in shows
at: Froelick
Gallery, Disjecta, Pacific
Switchboard, PICA’s TBA Festival, the PDX Film and Video Festival,
Reed Arts Week, Affair @ the Jupiter, Basil Hallworth Gallery, Blackfish
Gallery, the Art Gym, and Pacific University. Last winter her work
appeared in New American Paintings magazine’s West
Coast edition. She currently teaches intermedia and painting at Marylhurst
University and PNCA. She is represented by Charles
A. Hartman Fine Art.
